Love is for Everyone
Hey all, so....yeah. I'm not the greatest at keeping up with my blog. I used to be really good at it...about 7 years ago. I had one that I wrote on probably 4-5 times a week. For some reason, now that blogging has become popular, I just can't keep with it as much as I used to.....or maybe my life is just more boring now and I have less to talk about?
but anyways, I have been definitely keeping busy. I have another Boston SOWA Open Market under my belt...or should I say under my rain poncho? That makes 2 rainy Sundays now (that's kind of ironic isn't it? a rainy sunday? That's irony right? let me ask Alanis...) Other than it being a rainy day, tho, things went well. I got to try out my new spiffy tent walls. They served the purpose!
I just finished another painting for the Cotuit Center for the Arts event on the 4th of October. Check it out :)

Fraggle Rock Look-a-likes!
Whilest clicking through the important news topics today on my AOL email homepage, I came across a web article I found most amusing. Not too sure why it was with the rest of the news, but, that is beside the point!
Someone took the time to gather pictures of all the characters from Fraggle Rock and pair them up with celebrities that look similar. What genius these people have at TMZ! It's about time these D-listers of the Muppet family got some time in the spotlight!
Here is the link to the article. Some of the pair-ups are indeed a bit of a stretch, but some of them are spot on. Here is one of my favorites:

lots of rain and 3 new paintings

Alright, for not having rain for over a month, I think we made up for it in the last 48 hours! It has pretty much been raining non stop. Maybe we will finally have green grass again! yay!
But since the weather has been kinda gloomy, what better way to liven it up than with some new artwork?! I finished 3 new pieces in the last couple of days. They will probably be traveling with me to the SOWA Open market in Boston on the 3rd. I really am happy with how they all turned out and wouldn't be too heartbroken if they didn't sell and I had to keep them hanging up somewhere in my house :)

Two of the paintings are 8x10 where as the other one is just a lil 5x7. I got a bunch of canvas at a super sale price and I am all stocked up, so hopefully these are the first 3 of many yet to come!

cleaning and organizing...sort of
ok, so my goal for the day was to clean and organize my studio room. Well, I got some things accomplished. It's not a very big room I have here. maybe ... 2 me's by 2 and a half me's. I do not know how I manage to get so much stuff in here. It was too the point that I couldn't even get any work done due to all the stacks of papers and unread mail on top of my work table. It's like I need a separate room just to store all my junk :)
Anyways, I got most things cleaned up, mainly just through blinding tossing everything into the trash. So, hopefully no one gave me any important papers to hang on to or anything like that :) It's definitely workable in here now.
Sadly, the only thing that really is "organized" in here right now is my stickers :) They were just a jumbled mess in probably 4 or 5 different containers. Now, I have them separated into 3 main spots
. On the left, you will see my assortment of Christmas stickers, for putting on cards and what not. In the middle box, those are my every day run-of-the-mill stickers and on the right, they are separated by holiday, such as Valentine's day, Easter...etc. I've always kind of had this thing with stickers..(more on that another day!)
Now, the only place I have renegade stickers that are not in any sort of categorized container are the couple that I have stuck on my computer monitor!
so, at any rate, I feel good knowing that at least something in here is organized. And at least I cleared off my workspace enough to get some work done tonight. Strangely enough, spending the day surrounded by clutter and listening to funky oldies songs had given me lots of ideas and inspiration for some new paintings. Coincidence?

Falmouth Street Festival
On the 9th of July, I took part in a street festival on the main street of Falmouth, MA. I'll be honest here, I didn't really fit in there. It was mainly people selling things made out of seashells or fake flowers and wood carvings of fish and bears. However, I met some AWESOME people and I did sell some stuff! I loved sitting in my booth watching people walk by. A lot of them would glance in my tent as they were walking and you could watch a smile form on their face as they kept walking. I thought this was really cool. Kind of like my booth was sort of a breath of fresh air amongst all the others. But anyways, here are some pictures of my set up.

mr postman
Oh, the Delivery Gods have smiled on me today! I think every major carrier made a stop at my house! The regular run-of-the-mill mailman brought me some of my packaging supplies I ordered, the Fed Ex man brought me all of the prints I had ordered, and the UPS man was stealthy and came when I wasn't home. But he left proof of his visit in the form of a package on the porch addressed to me! :) And this,my friends, was my custom vinyl banner I ordered to hang in my tent at the various art fairs I'm going to be doing. It turned out really well and I am really happy with it.
